Maritime and Aviation Security
Since the disastrous terrorist attack of September 11th 2000, Surelock have attended many international conferences involving both maritime and aviation security. It soon became apparent to us that there were many so called "expert" companies with little credibility offering advice on the very important subject of security.

Our consultants have been recruited from the top echelons of Scotland Yard’s Anti-Terrorist Department and Special Branch. We therefore decided to offer our own expertise, which has been drawn from many years’ experience in the United Kingdom Police Forces combating terrorism and gaining intelligence.

Following the publication of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code on 12 December 2002, Surelock decided to concentrate its efforts on port security. We took some time to identify a suitably experienced maritime partner, as our own consultants were more versed in the physical security of buildings. Surelock identified Maritime and Underwater Security Consultants (MUSC) and we formed an agreement with them to conduct ISPS Code work all over the world.

MUSC

MUSC in association with Surelock International Ltd (SIL), working together as MUSI have in-depth international experience of a wide range of maritime security matters including counter terrorism, piracy, smuggling and other commercial security and risk management projects.

SIL has considerable experience in anti-terrorism and in proving risk assessments/ criticality plans. It has carried out "Red Teaming" exercises in order to test security systems and its consultants have been responsible for carrying out security surveys on government and major blue chip company buildings in London. Its consultants have considerable practical expertise and have undergone specialist-training courses verified by DNV.

SIL can also offer the same expert advice with regards to aviation and airport security Our consultants can design security plans/ risk assessments and offer impartial advice on security related equipment. We are additionally involved in developing training courses for overseas police forces with regards to anti-terrorism matters.
